2015

  • ACTS BATTAMBANG 
    APR: Hepatitis B vaccination program started for 500 patients carried out over 3 days. A small team visited Tapung parish and Knach Romeas to begin the process of repairing the collapsing church roof and kindergarten wall respectively.
  • ACTS MYANMAR 
    APR: Completion of a kindergarten outside Yangon for which ACTS was the main sponsor.
  • ACTS VIETNAM 
    JUN: A social outreach was extended to Tam Ha.

2014

  • ACTS BATTAMBANG 
    DEC: Largest mission of 120 participants ever, including a medical team. Visited 6 parishes and 3 villages to carry out various works and education programs.
  • ACTS KEP 
    MAR: A medical outreach was conducted in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy from Temasek Polytechnic Singapore. The free clinics extended to 5 villages, Chomkiri, Koh Slas, Prey Plos, Kampot, and Peace Village.
  • ACTS PHILIPPINES 
    The Bakery Social Enterprise, Cebu Auxillium Bakery became fully operational. Collaborated with CHARIS in regenerating livelihood in Brgy Lipata with purchase of livestock (100 goats and 100 hogs), set up of a mini market and mini grocery and 2 pedicabs. Also funded the purchase of housing materials for 300 housing units.
  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    DEC: Mission of 350 participants. The highlight of the mission was the inauguration of the Don Bosco High School - Tuek Thla, Phnom Penh that was a culmination 2 years of planning and building. ACTS enabled a sponsorship of 38,000 pairs of children CROCS that were distributed to various parts of Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines.
  • ACTS MYANMAR 
    NOV: Maiden mission of 33 participants.
  • ACTS VIETNAM 
    NOV: Funds raised for 3 teaching scholarships and teaching materials for school in Tam Ha. Also funded cost of roof extension in the school in Lason.

2013

  • JAN: The Church of St Vincent De Paul, Singapore, became the patron of the ACTS Myanmar mission.
  • ACTS PHILIPPINES 
    JAN: Extended support to the FMA Sisters in Cebu, Negros Occidental and Palawan islands. Solar lights were delivered for a girl’s dormitory in Papua New Guinea. Upgrading of Bakery in Cebu in preparation for the Bakery Social Enterprise.
  • ACTS PHNOM PENH
    APR: In Teuk Thla, at the Don Bosco School, construction began for the building of the new Don Bosco Middle and High School. MAY: Visit by the handicapped dance troupe from Arrupe Tahen centre for the Humanitarian Forum Fair. Sponsored the travel and admission of Sovan, a girl from Phnom Penh for a cardiac surgery performed at KK MCH, Singapore. DEC: Mission of over 330 participants including medical and dental teams. Started free medical clinic in Phum Chreh. Started collaboration with Sa’bai Vision to provide free eyesight screening.
  • ACTS VIETNAM 
    NOV: Funds raised for scholarships for 2 teachers at Tam Ha.

2012

  • ACTS BATTAMBANG 
    APR: Medical mission and outreach. Nov - Mission of 30 participants. A grotto dedicated to Mother Mary was built in the compound Church of Our Lady of Assumption, Battambang parish.
  • ACTS MYANMAR 
    APR: An exploratory trip to Yangon to understand and evaluate needs. DEC: Second mission trip to Yangon and several homes outside Mandalay. Catechesis sessions were conducted at the IJ Centre and homes managed by the Salesian sisters. Solar water heaters, water purifiers and knitting machines were donated.
  • ACTS PHILIPPINES 
    AUG: Sponsored over 100 water filters to flood stricken communities in Manila and outskirt communities.
    DEC: Mission to Sta Mesa Manila and to an Aetas tribal community in Sitio Monicayo, Pampanga. Participants were privileged witnesses for the Holy Matrimony of 20 Aetas couples in their new Community Hall.
  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    Plans for the Don Bosco Middle and High School were finalized. Target date for ground breaking for new building agreed for first quarter 2013.
    DEC: Mission of 283 participants and medical and dental teams. Visited Don Bosco Centres in Tuek Thla, Tuol Kork and Phum Chreh and residents of MC Home for HIV children.
  • ACTS VIETNAM 
    MAY: Raised funds for a home for boys, run by the Salesian Sisters in the province of Pleiku.
    OCT: Private donations sponsored construction of a new kitchen, toilets, and roof extensions for a school run by the Salesian sisters in Lason, north of Ho Chi Minh City.

2011

  • ACTS (Advent Cambodia Trips) was re-named “A Call To Share” and modeled her mission ethos after the teachings of Acts of the Apostles.
  • ACTS BATTAMBANG 
    DEC: Inaugural mission with the Catholic Medical Guild. Visited Don Bosco Literacy & Skills Center for Girls, Arrupe Welcome Center for the Disabled, communities of La Paloma, Kalapati, Tahen, and Omal.
  • ACTS PHILIPPINES 
    DEC: Mission of nine from OLPS Family Life Ministry visited Manila, providing outreach programs to the local children and young adults and in nearby provinces.
  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    DEC: Mission of 264 participants and medical and dental teams. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) was introduced to His Graces Bishop Olivier of Phnom Penh and Bishop Kike of Battambang, together with His Grace, Archbishop Nicholas Chia, Fr Gino Hendricks and Fr David Garcia. ACTS extended outreach to village at Kampong Speu. Started collaboration with Sa’bai Dental to provide free oral health screening. A grotto dedicated to Mother Mary was built in Phum Chreh.

2010

  • ACTS BATTAMBANG 
    A grotto dedicated to Mother Mary was built at the Salesian convent in Battambang.
  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    DEC: Mission of 207 participants and medical and dental teams.

2009

  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    MAR: Graduating class of Grade 6 students in Phum Chreh visited Seam Reap in a cultural excursion sponsored by donor. Till today, this remained an annual tradition.
    DEC: Mission of 171 participants and medical and dental teams. Started the annual Food & Oil program for 2000 children. Began the tradition of Love Parcels comprising essentials for the poorest of the poor families, as identified by the Salesian Sisters in their community. The Vocational School cum Boarding House at Tuol Kork was re-built partly with funds raised by ACTS. 3 grottos dedicated to Mother Mary were built at Teuk Thla, Tuol Kork and the Infant Jesus Parish, Phnom Penh.
  • ACTS VIETNAM 
    Raised funds together with Saint Vincent De Paul (SVDP) Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, to construct a home for HIV children in Hanoi. Another group worked to build wells.

2008

  • ACTS PHNOM PENH 
    DEC: Mission of 87 participants with a medical team from National University Hospital (NUH).  A group from Fides (SMU Catholic Student group) visited Tuol Kork. Started an outreach to Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity Home and Banteay Prieb Home for landmine victims run by the Jesuit fathers. Funds were raised to add a third storey, auditorium and covered playground for Don Bosco School at Phum Chreh.

2007

  • ACTS Phnom Penh
    DEC: Mission of 46 parishioners and 10 medical students visited Phum Chreh and Teuk Thla.

2006

  • DEC: A small group of Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace parishioners spent a week at a Don Bosco school in Cambodia.
