ACTS Kampot, 13 - 20 Jun 2020 - We are FULL! (Cancelled)
Kampot located in South Cambodia, is a 3 hours’ drive from Phnom Penh International Airport where ACTS will run a week long outreach during our June school holiday to spend time with Cambodian young students and villagers from the Saint Augustine Kampot Archdiocese headed by Fr. Tavola Gianluca.
We will organise small and intimate groups for play, music, art and craft and fun English classes suitable for kindergarten students (and hopefully to a new Montessori kindergarten if we have sign ups who are familiar in the Montessori method of education) and Elementary Grade 1 to 3 students at different school locations.
This year, we are looking for:
- A handywork’s team to build a new playground at a Catholic village centre.
- Individuals who enjoys working out in the sun to harvest fruits and Kampot pepper on the farm.
- Painters with a flair for mural art.
- Doctors, pharmacists, dentists and medical/dental students to manage mobile clinics to some who have never been seen by medical personnel before.
Restricted to a group of 40, ACTS is looking for participants between 13 and 65 years of old with the appropriate skills set for the tasks described, be willing to commit to a complete week from 13th to 20th June, be ready to rough it out and more importantly, are happy to receive the spirit of Christ in our services and with the people that we meet.
Application closes on 29th February 2020. You will then be notified to attend a Mission Preparation Session where you can find out more details about the mission outreach and what is expected from you.
ACTS Kampot 2020 is co-ordinated by Chris & Trixie Chan and lead by our Spiritual Director Friar Esmond Chua.
