Battambang, Cambodia Mission, 5 – 12 Dec 2026 Registration
Mission size: 100 - 130 participants
"Battambang is the capital of Battambang Province and one of Cambodia’s larger cities. Since 2013, ACTS has been invited by Monsignor Enrique Figaredo, Apostolic Prefect of Battambang, to serve alongside the local Church, the Salesian Sisters and the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia in areas of education, health and community support.
Over the years, the needs in Battambang have continued to evolve. While the city has developed, many communities beyond the city centre still face limited access to resources, education and healthcare. This mission seeks to respond to those changing needs in practical and meaningful ways, from supporting children, youths and the elderly, to teaching English to university students, working with teachers, supporting visual health initiatives, and enabling doctors to share knowledge with Cambodian healthcare workers in local hospitals.
At its heart, the Battambang Mission is about walking with the community, not just giving help for the moment. Through skills-sharing, education, healthcare support and relationship-building, we hope to strengthen the independence, resilience and dignity of the people we serve.
The mission serves over 10 locations across the city and surrounding villages. This allows teams to build deeper relationships, better understand the needs on the ground, and serve with greater continuity.
Participants should be physically and mentally well to take part in the mission’s activities. The mission is primarily suited for participants aged 16 and above, though those aged 12 and above are welcome to join. Participants aged 12 to 15 must be accompanied by at least one parent.
