Kompong Thom, Cambodia Mission, 28 Nov – 5 Dec 2026 Registration

Mission size: 40 participants

Kompong Thom is a small town about two hours between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. We work primarily with the Catholic Parish of the Good Shepherd to reach out to small communities like Kompong Roteh and Kompong Koh in two key areas: medical and education. We are looking at participants who can help with medical, nursing, teaching, life coaching and general handywork with the sick, elderly and young children attending school at the parish.

Estimated Cost
1. SGD$270: Mission Fee* – Covers all transport, food and all meals for 7 days
2. ~USD$210-245: 7 nights accommodation (Twin Sharing)
3. ~SGD$500: Approximate Economy airfare

Application closes on 26 July 2026. You will need to attend a Mission Awareness session to understand details about the mission outreach and what is expected from you. Participants who are still interested will be required to attend at least 3 further preparation sessions & some sub-team planning meetings.

At this stage of registration, both Thailand and Cambodia have ceased all border hostilities. Should any conflict arise, ACTS will review the situation and decide whether to proceed or withdraw, following consultation with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)

MISSION OVERVIEW

AIRFARE
Participants are responsible for purchasing their own flight tickets and mandatory travel insurance.

ACCOMMODATION
Hotel reservations will be arranged for participants and all room and miscellaneous charges incurred will be settled by participants upon check out on the last day.
Roommate must be either siblings/parent-child or of the same gender, if unrelated.

COST

Mission fee for Kompong Thom is SGD 270 per person. This amount is used to help defray costs incurred for Cambodia airport transfers to and from hotel, all meals, daily water supply, local coach transfers and any expenses that may arise during mission week. It does not include airfare, hotel accommodation for the week and any personal expenses. Any balance from the total fees collected will be put back into the ACTS Central Mission Fund for use the following year. There will be no refund of Mission Fees except on medical grounds or by appeal due to exceptional circumstances.

PRE MISSION COMMITMENT
In preparation for a meaningful outreach experience, you will need to attend 4 Pre-Mission sessions. In particular, participants will not be confirmed for the mission until after they attend the Mission Awareness session on 16 August 2026 Please do not book travel until you have been officially confirmed for the mission.

Ensure you have spare luggage space to help carry up items for the mission

All participants must arrive on/before 28 Nov 2026 and depart only on/after 5 Dec 2026.
