Philippines Mission, Saturday, 28 Nov – Friday, 4 Dec 2026 Registration

Mission size: 45 to no more than 60 participants.

Our mission to the Philippines brings us to a resettlement community in Cavite, just south of Metro Manila, where families live in small one-room homes yet show remarkable resilience and community spirit.

Together with the Salesian Sisters and VIDES, we spend time with over 700 Grade 5 students, nurturing their confidence, values, and awareness of digital well-being. We also visit nearby villages (barangays), where we are welcomed into homes to listen, share, and pray alongside families.

Our mission ends with a simple Christmas celebration for elderly persons living on the streets of Manila—a small gesture to remind them that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

We work closely as a group and everyone is involved in all aspects of the mission. We invite anyone between 17 to 70 years to join our community and be the face of Christ to those we meet.

Due to fluctuating oil prices, fuel shortages and higher cost of living in the Philippines, cost estimates are as follows:
1. Mission fee - S$290 (covers all land transportation, meals and water for 7 days)
2. Accommodations - Approximately S$280 for 7 nights (pay onsite)
3. Airfare - Between S$300 to S$400 on economy class SIN-MNL-SIN

Application closes on Sunday, 26 July 2026.

You must attend a Mission Awareness session at 2pm on Sunday, 16 August to know more about A Call to Share (ACTS), what is a mission, what it means to be called to be on a mission and expectations.

Participants who wish to continue after that session are required to attend three more preparation sessions and may be invited to attend sub-team planning meetings.

MISSION OVERVIEW

AIRFARE
Participants are responsible for purchasing their own flight tickets and mandatory travel insurance.

ACCOMMODATION
Hotel reservations will be arranged for participants. All room and miscellaneous charges incurred must be settled by participants upon check out.
Roommate must be spouse, siblings/parent-child or of the same gender, if unrelated.

COST

Mission fee for ACTS Philippines 2026 is S$290 per person. This amount is used to defray costs incurred for airport and hotel transfers, all meals, daily water supply, daily local van transfers and any expenses that may arise during mission week. It does not include airfare, hotel accommodation and personal expenses during the week. Any excess amount from the total mission fee collected will be deposited into the ACTS Central Mission Fund for use the following year. There will be no refund of mission fee except on medical grounds or by appeal due to exceptional circumstances.

PRE MISSION COMMITMENT
To prepare for a meaningful outreach experience, you need to attend 4 pre-mission sessions. Your participation in the mission will only be confirmed after you attend the Mission Awareness session at 2pm on Sunday, 16 August 2026. Please do not make flight bookings until you receive this official confirmation.

LUGGAGE
Ensure you have spare luggage space to help carry up items for the mission.

TRAVEL
All participants must arrive on/before 2pm on Saturday, 28 November 2026. Though the mission officially ends in the late afternoon on Friday, 4 December, we urge participants to depart from Manila on Saturday, 5 December 2026 or later to avoid Friday evening rush hour.
